MondisT is a wireless temperature and humidity sensor designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. It’s used in both environmental monitoring and the energy sector, where it measures temperature on transformer and power cables. The device combines precision, security, and efficiency in a compact, battery-powered design.

Business Goals
The goal was to create a reliable, configurable sensor that meets industrial-grade standards while remaining cost-effective and easy to deploy. Long battery life and flexible connectivity were key to enabling large-scale, low-maintenance installations across diverse environments.

Challenges
Building a secure device that operates for up to 10 years on battery power required careful consideration about software architecture and optimization of every system component. Ensuring interoperability and stable performance across various Bluetooth devices added further complexity. Security of communication and firmware integrity were also critical requirements.
Approach
Future-proof Software developed the complete software stack — from embedded firmware written in C using the Bluetooth SDK to a Flutter-based mobile application for configuration and control. We worked closely with the client’s hardware team, sharing a fully equipped lab with advanced measuring devices.
We optimized BLE communication modes, fine-tuned measurement intervals, and implemented strong security layers to balance performance and power efficiency. The result is a robust, secure, and long-lasting IoT product ready for industrial use.
